That’s why our formulas are built around carefully selected botanical oils, butters, waxes, and essential oils chosen for their texture, aroma, and moisturizing qualities.
We keep our formulas uncomplicated and hand-blend them in small batches with care.
Beeswax
A staple in all our products. Beeswax gives our balms structure while creating a light protective layer that helps seal in moisture.
It’s especially useful in products designed for skin exposed to wind, cold, dry air, and outdoor conditions.
Shea Butter
Rich and creamy, shea butter is a favourite ingredient in our balms because of its naturally moisturizing and conditioning qualities.
It helps soften dry, rough-feeling skin while giving our balms their smooth, nourishing texture.
Mango Butter
Mango butter is lightweight, smooth, and naturally rich in fatty acids.
We use it to add creaminess to our balms while helping skin feel soft and conditioned without feeling overly heavy.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil adds a smooth, nourishing texture to our formulations and helps soften and condition dry skin and lips.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil has a light, silky texture and absorbs beautifully into the skin.
It helps condition and soften dry-feeling skin without leaving an overly greasy finish and supports lasting moisture.
Olive Oil
Olive oil is a traditional botanical oil valued for its rich, conditioning feel.
We use it in select formulas to help soften and moisturize dry-feeling skin and paw pads.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a nourishing antioxidant that helps condition skin and support moisture retention.
Lemon Eucalyptus Essential Oil
Fresh, bright, and distinctly outdoorsy, Lemon Eucalyptus brings a clean citrus-green aroma to our Botanical Outdoor Spray.
It has a long history of traditional use in outdoor botanical preparations and is one of the signature scents of our original formula.
Cedarwood Essential Oil
Warm, dry, and woodsy, Cedarwood gives our outdoor and scented balm formulas their earthy character.
Its forest-inspired aroma pairs especially well with citrus and botanical scents.
Geranium Essential Oil
Geranium has a fresh, green floral aroma that helps round out the botanical blend in our Outdoor Spray.
Used alongside Lemon Eucalyptus and Cedarwood, it gives the spray its distinctive fresh outdoor scent.

At Happy Trails Botanicals, keeping things simple is important to me. I choose each ingredient with care and only include what’s truly needed — no unnecessary extras. Just thoughtfully made products with simple ingredients I feel good about using on my own family and pups, and sharing with yours.
