How to Use & Tips

What is the best way to use the Happy Trails Botanicals outdoor spray for the best protection?

Shake well before each use.

Safe for children (3+) and dogs.

For family use, spray on clothes and exposed skin, avoiding the face. For dogs, mist all over but especially legs, tail and underbelly, avoid the face.

Reapply every 4-6 hours or as needed.

Are there any special tips for storing the spray or things to avoid so it stays fresh and effective?

Keep out of direct sunlight. Best stored in a cool, dark spot. For even better results, store in the refrigerator.

Besides spraying, are there other ways to make sure you and your loved ones (including pets!) are super protected when outdoors?

Aside from botanical sprays, try to avoid tall grasses. Dress defensively: wear light-coloured clothes, long sleeves, and long pants. Always check yourself and your dog for ticks after being outdoors. Throw some sage or cedar in your next campfire as a natural bug repellent.

Any tips on using the Happy Hiker Hands and Lip Balms?

With all the balms.. a little goes a long way!

For the Happy Hiker Hand and Lip Balms, apply before going out to help protect dry skin.

For intensive hydration, apply a layer before going to bed and let it work overnight.

How do I apply Happy Paw and Snout Balm to my dog?

Again, a little goes a long way!

Gently wipe your dogs paws or nose clean before use. Apply a thin layer especially to dry areas.

Because the balms are made with lick-safe ingredients, it's ok if your dog gives a few licks after application. For best results, try distracting them with a treat, toy or cuddle for a few minutes to allow the balm time to absorb.

For the paws, wait a few minutes before going outside or onto furniture.

Store in a cool, dry place.

Avoid contact with dog's eyes.
